Upper Canda's first major Scottish settlement, Glengarry, was established in 1784 by Highlanders from Inverness-shire. This book charts the progress of the settlement throughout Upper Canada and containes much descriptive information, passenger lists and details of the 550 ships that made over 900 crossings and carried almost 100,000 emigrant Scots.
