The Scottish Gael, or Celtic Manners as Preserved Among the Highlanders (first published 1831) is a two-volume cultural and ethnographic study of the Gaelic inhabitants of the Scottish Highlands and Islands. The book offers a detailed, descriptive account of Highland life and traditions, based on Logan’s own extensive walking tours and observations throughout the region during the decade before publication.
