The text is accompanied by 24 tipped in colour reproduction plates of paintings by famous Scottish artists such as George Straton Ferrier, Thomas Corsan Morton (of Glasgow Boys fame) and Sam Bough.

Condition Notes
A fine 1st edition in excellent condition overall.
Good clean cover boards original brown cloth with gilt titles on front and spine with just some light fade. Slight bumping to the head and tail of the spine and at corners. Grey end papers are clean with minimal browning - previous owner book plate on inside.. Internally, firmly bound with bright and clean pages throughout, with minor age toning.
