  • Synopsis

    Within the Elgin District are found the permo-triassic strata of Morayshirewith their remarkable fossil reptilian fauna together with the only known occurrences of Jurassic rocks in situ on the south side of the Mory Firth. A considerable area is underlain by beds of Upper and middle old red sandstone age and metamorphic rocks belonging to the important Banffshire succession of the Dalradian Assemblage occur east of the river Spey. The complex Glacial and post-glacial superficial deposits include spectacular raised storm beaches.

    An excellent copy with a good dustcover with just some light fraying around the edges. There is a previous owner bookplate on the inside end-paper. Inside the pages are bright and clean throughout.
