Synopsis
The Glasgow district includes the upper reaches of the firth of Clyde and a large portion of the southern Highlands - with such beauty spots as the Trossachs, Loch Lomond and Loch Fyne as well as Cowal, Bute, the Cumbraes and the Ayrshire coast. to the north-east it extends to the Ochil hills and to the south-east almost to the edge of the Southern Uplands.
