St John's Kirk, Perth - A History

St John's Kirk in Perth, Scotland, is the oldest surviving building in the city and where John Knox's 1559 sermon sparked the Scottish Reformation. In this history of the Kirk the author writes that it is believed the church was first erected by David I of Scotland in 1126.

This well researched history is accompanied by full  page black and white photography as well as drawings of artefacts and  plans of the lay out of the church.

There is a signed dedication from the author on the front end-paper (see image).

An excellent copy with an original dustcover that has some frayed loss around the edges but otherwise clean. Inside the pages are bright and clean throughout.
