The author moved with her aunt to a croft in Sutherland where they lived surrounded by wild life and where Rowena, as a 10 year old, adopted a seal pup as a pet. This is the story of their moving relationship and descibes life in a remote part of Scotland.
Teh story is accompanied by pencil drawings by the artist Raymond Sheppard.
