Synopsis
The Scottish Secretariat was a mid-20th-century semi-official policy bureau and research organization associated with the Scottish nationalist movement. Its publications are exceedingly rare today due to small print runs and wartime paper restrictions, but they helped shape the intellectual framework of later Scottish National Party (SNP) policy culture.
This is publication No. 18 printed in 1945 and previously printed in 1930. It provides a copy of the original 1707 Treaty of Union between Scotland and England accompanied by 4 pages of critical notes and finishing with a short essay entitles: "What Validity Has The Treaty".
