A framed antique 18th Century Map of Scotland by Hermann Moll

Hermann Moll (1664-1732) was either born in what is now the Netherlands or in Germany - there is some debate on this subject. However he did move to London in 1668 and became one of the leading cartographers of his time.

The map itself seems in good condition with one original fold apparent and one crease at the bottom left hand corner. There are some light stains around the edges.

The frame is probably in excess of 50 years old - probably 1970s. It is clean and in good condition. The mount has some fading and generally a remount would be recommended.
