Murchadh Moireach (Murdo Murray) was born in Back, in Lewis, in 1890 this collection of his writings; diary entries from his time spent in the trenches in the Great War, his poems and other essays.
Moireach died, at the age of 74, on 30th May, 1964 and the selected writings in this book were prepared by Alasdair Macasgaill to whom the author left his literary works
