    The Biography of Leslie Mitchell who using the pen name Lewis Grassic Gibbon wrote the seminal trilogy of novels - A Scots Quair(Sunset House, Cloud Howe & Grey Granite. From Mearns in the north east of Scotland, his prolific writing was ended abruptly at the age of 34.

    This book carries a forward by Hugh Macdiarmid.

    A fine edition - Still with the original dust cover which has a polythene cover and some tearing and fraying around the edges. Underneath the cover boards are clean and undamaged.

    The inside pages are clean and bright however there is usual age related tanning throughout. There are also a previous owner's notes and higlights in pencil on some pages.
