George Washington Wilson was one of the pioneers of Victorian Scottish photography who experimented and innovated with new mediums. He was frequently summoned to Balmoral to photograph the Royal family and by 1880 he could claim that his Aberdeen firm was the largest publisher of topographic views in Britain.
Condition Notes
A good quality edition with just a minor tear at bottom front cover corner. Inside the pages are bright and clean throughout. There is an original owner dedicace on fron end paper in ink dated 1981.
