Geology of Ben Nevis and Glen Coe and the surrounding Country

The geology of this famous area is both varied and complex. Upon a groundwork of crystalline schists and an extensive covering of lavas was spread in the time of the Lower Old Red Sandstone, but of this covering parts only have survived denudation in Ben Nevis  and in the mountains around Glen Coe. The geological structure of the area presents some remarkable features, the existence of which was not expected to exist in this part of Scotland.

An excellent copy - no deustcover - wioth some light rubbing on teh front cover and bruised corners but other wise fine. There is a previous owner bookplate on the inside end-paper. Bright and clean pages throughout.
