Fair Isle lies right between the Orkney & The Shetland Isles. There is a permanent population of around 60 people here, who mostly live at the south end of the island. Traditionally, crofting and fishing were the main occupations.
Most of the photographs that make up the book were taken by the author George Waterston.
Themes include - Landscape, buildings, agriculture and ornithology.
