Thomas S. Muir spent much of the time between 1852 and 1864 visiting all of the Scottish and cetltic islands both in west and north Atlantic but also on the North sea coast notably the smaller island in the Firth of Forth. He provided detailed accounts of Christian relics and burial sites from even the smallest of the Islands. The work is accompanied by many detailed drawings.
Condition Notes
An exceptionally good copy of this book with very good cover-boards with bright gilt front cover design and titles to the spine. Inside the pages are bright and clean throughout. There is a glit edging to the top paper.
