  • Synopsis

    A history of St Michael's Parish Church in Linlithgow focusing on its medieval origins, pre-Reformation chapels, minor altars (chantries), and historical endowments. First recorded around 1138 and consecrated on May 22, 1242, by David de Bernham, Bishop of St Andrews.

    Mary, Queen of Scots was baptized inside the church in December 1542.

  • Condition Notes

    A fine copy with bright clean cover boards and gilt titles and front vignette. There is some bumping at the corners and some light fraying along the top and bottom of the spine. Inside the pages are bright and clean with age related tanning of the paper.
