This work is considered a primary source  for the study of medieval Scottish history.

This edition is a limited 600 copy reprint of the original 1922 work compiled by Alan Orr Anderson.

It is re-edited and prefaced by Marjorie Anderson with a Bibliographical Supplement and Corrections.

Both Volumes are large extensive tomes.

Both volumes come with the orginal dust covers. They are stained and discoloured in places with some tearing and fraying along the edges.

The outer boards are sound with Bright Gilt titles and vignette.
