Synopsis
Duguld Buchanan (D'ughall Bochanan) was a gaelic speaking Bard & Preacher and lived from 1716 - 1763. Born in Balquhidder he spent much of his life as a School master notably in the Perthshire village of Kinloch Rannoch. He was a relative and contemporary of Rob Roy. As important as his poetry was his diary which he kept from 1741-1715 which was modelled on "The Confessions" by St Augustine.
This work contains a brief biography of the poet as well as English versions of some of his spiritual songs and Confessions.
Condition Notes
Overall in good condition - there is some staining to the cover boards and general bumping around the edges and at the corners. However inside the pages remain tightly bound and are clean and bright throughout.
