There seems to be little know about the author and the work itself.
Brennus (c390 BC) was the Gallic war chief of the Senones who sacked and occupied Rome in 390 BC.
Alcander was a young man of Sparta.

Condition Notes
A fine robust copy with strong bevelled cover boards with some light fraying and small ink stains on the reverse. Inside the pages are bright and clean throughout. There are "Sprinhill Institute" from where the book originally belonged ink stamps randomly on pages including the title page.
